The CT Symphonic Winds is proud to present an electrifying evening of wind symphony masterworks featuring iconic music by John Williams, Frank Ticheli, and Rossano Galante. This dynamic program celebrates the power, lyricism, and brilliance of the modern wind ensemble—spanning cinematic grandeur, soaring melodies, and emotionally rich contemporary works. Audiences will experience the unmistakable brilliance of John Williams’ symphonic storytelling, the rhythmic vitality and expressive depth of Frank Ticheli, and the lush, sweeping harmonies of Rossano Galante. Each composer brings a distinct voice, showcasing the remarkable color and versatility of the wind symphony. The evening will also feature two outstanding guest soloists—one on clarinet and one on trombone. A yearly favorite, the Connecticut Symphonic Winds celebrates the season with an array of classic holiday tunes and sing-alongs.

American Melting Pot is a vibrant celebration of musical heritage and cultural influence woven into the American wind band tradition. Featuring the spirited brilliance of Gioachino Rossini, the folk-inspired lyricism of Percy Grainger, and the sweeping, pastoral beauty of Ralph Vaughan Williams, this concert highlights how global voices have shaped the soundscape we cherish today.
